SECRET REGRET OF THE DAY: May 6, 2018

I regret doing everything that my family and friends expected. College, marriage, children, all to make everyone but me happy. I hate my life as it is and at 54 have very limited options.
Maybe it is time to go.

  1. Now’s the time to STAY! Youre closest to the reason youve been through all this – to realise that your plans, your family’s plans, your friends plans, haven’t worked out and God is calling you to try him! Ps 34:8 says “O taste and see that the LORD is good”. I sincerely hope you give Jesus a chance to prove how well he can bring you into life abundant and eternal!

  2. 54. It only gets better from here on. Stay and live. Look for an activity or hobby that you truly enjoy! Learn how to fill your cup, too. It appears you are running on empty. If you have children, perhaps you will have the opportunity to enjoy your grandchildren. I’m sure your family will be pained and miss you sorely if you were to leave. Take care and be encouraged!

  3. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and DO NOT BE AFRAID.” John 14:27 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you MAY HAVE PEACE. In this world you will have trouble. But take hear! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.” John 16:33. Open honesty is always best…. especially with yourself; no one forced you to go to college (this was a sound decision), no forced you to fall-in-love and get married (this was your CHOICE), no one forces you to continue being a parent (it’s the right thing to do – your children didn’t ask to be born). I might be guessing here but it sounds like you may be an “adulterer” which has been consciously YOUR CHOICE – choose again (leave affair and focus on why or why not your marriage isn’t working and if you find out it can’t work… then leave with a clean conscious and soul without mortally hurting everyone surrounding you anymore): psychologist, psychiatrist or spiritual guide will provide the help you need – get it. Times ticking… don’t waste the dawn!
